Dr Andrew Hague is a senior manager and programmer for a large independent video games development company based in the heart of England. He has been programming since 1982 on various home computers, workstations and video games consoles (large and small).
He received his DPhil in Computer Science in 1997 and is really concerned that fewer and fewer games programming graduates seem to know how to program games.
Now he is trying to hark back to the good ol’ days and put something back into the system. That is; spending more time programming with computers and less time using them to write on social networks! He thinks that building and programming real robots is the best start, followed by the move onto writing console (i.e. cross-platform) games in C++ and Java.
